She_Buys_Stuff: 5.0 out of 5 stars Very potent stuff
If the success of this Fox Repellent is judged by smell alone, we are already onto a winner. It is very potent stuff. The package arrived from Amazon and was left outside my front door. The area outside my front door then had a smell. It was packed with a few other Amazon products and now, to be fair, those other amazon products now also smell.I feel sorry for the Amazon driver because despite leaving a fragrant whiff on aftershave alongside the parcels on Amazon day, he now also probably smells. As will his vehicle...And because I couldn't bear to have the smell in the house for a moment longer than necessary the little seating area, outside by the patio door, now also smells. Honestly you don't even have to take the liquid out of the bottle. Just let it permeate around everything, everywhere, from inside its poly bag.Ill be donning sone swimming nose clips to go and dilute the liquid OUTSIDE and soaking a sponge or two in the solution, outside. I will then be leaving the whole thing outside until at least March, without going near!I haven't seen the foxes since I popped the bottle outside, but its too early to say if it will provide an ongoing solution. I'll update this review down the line with a progress report if I can.In the meantime it appears to have forced a particularly brazen gang of pigeons around the corner. Looks like it also needs to be smelly over there...
P. Stevenson: 5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguingly & Amazingly Pungent
I must admit that I haven't tried this item properly yet, as I'm going to be putting it down in the spring. This will be after I've re-seeded two areas of lawn, which the foxes keep excavating in an attempt to get at what they believe is a former cavernous area below (now filled with bricks, boulders and stones). As a result I cannot attest to its efficacy. However, based on the odour of eminating from the sealed bottle and smell of the outer plastic bag (it's not leaking), I'm hoping that it will do the trick. Indeed, so pungent is the unsused item that I've had to move it outdoors for storage. I kept wondering who in my block of flats was cooking strong garlic dishes every day and then I realised!
PCS: 5.0 out of 5 stars Safe to use and super strong fox repellent oil
The fox repellent oil is delivered in a brown glass bottle which is in a sealed plastic bag. The bottle top has an integrated dropper to apply the oil to the water. This oil has a powerful garlic scent which permeates everywhere, so choose carefully where you blend it with water and avoid getting it on your skin or clothes. We have applied some oil around the waste collection bins, where we have had a fox issue. We also applied around parts of the front garden in the hope it will deter dogs let off the leash while being taken on their morning walks leaving their business. We like the fact this oil is a natural oil blend, with no added chemicals. We are optimistic that this oil with its powerful garlic odour will deter the foxes, and are hopeful about the dogs.
BruceB: 5.0 out of 5 stars Five stars for the small!
Only time will tell whether this concentrate does a long-term job in getting the darned foxes out of my garden. However, having dispensed it once around the garden, I then put the bottle under our kitchen sink. A day or so later I was wondering what on earth the smell was about the place. I twigged it was the concentrate, so moved it to an external cupboard. When the small permeated to the room the other side of the wall, I then shifted it to the bottom of the garden. It certainly seems to be effective as a smell agent and I confess, I haven't seen foxes about recently.I need to re-spray now, but I have high hopes, so definitely a cautionary recommendation. Just keep it out of the house...and away from children.
