Amazon Customer: 5.0 out of 5 stars Not “water proof” but definitely adds to a shoes water resistance.
Works best with shoes that are already water resistant (obviously). I work outside (and walk about 3km pr year). with this spray my leather work boots keep my feet dry for an entire 6-8hr shift. Not sure how often it’s best to spray the shoes, but three weeks in and the water still runs off the leather without appearing to absorb it at all. It’s not water proof but it does add to the water resistance that shoes already have.Unless it’s very heavy rain or I stepIn a puddle this stuff works.Good results for its price.

Got hubby this for new neubuk shoes & he was delighted with it.After the shoes had dried he put them under the tap & water just ran off them.....no marks.Really works. The shoes were a bit darker in colour but I think this will depend on the material.... didn't matter in this case.Impressive.

What a shame we didn't try this spray on our walking boots before we went away. We hadn't used them for some time and didn't realise that the water soaked in on our wet nature reserve walk. I primarily got this for using on our suede safari boots but my husband has just tried it on our walking boots and we're very impressed. He poured water over one of the boots and it just ran off.I haven't tried the spray on our suede boots yet but will do soon before they're packed. Not that I'm expecting any rain this time but you never know though if it keeps them from getting so grubby then it will be worth it.As the walking boots have impressed then I will certainly buy this spray again, rather than the aerosols that I have bought previously. As the liquid comes from a pump dispenser then it's much easier to control than an aerosol. I think the bottle will last a few applications so it's much better value than the spray cans. I thoroughly recommend it.
Mo: 5.0 out of 5 stars Shoe protector spray
My boots are leather, so I cleaned them first with saddle soap, and whilst still damp (as per instructions) I sprayed with this protector. There was quite a lot of white droplets so I rubbed it in with a little kitchen roll and left to dry. The boots looked quite dull at first but buffed up fine. I have given them a second spray to ensure a good coverage. Wore them today as it was raining and I have nice dry feet, so it works! Blurb doesn’t say how long it lasts though, so I will reapply in a month or so I think. There’s loads in the bottle and it looks like it will last for ages even applying monthly.
RidnarhtimRidnarhtim: 4.0 out of 5 stars Seems pretty good - on the right shoes.
Update: seems to work well on softer materials - I tried it on some gore tex shoes and it worked much better. So I don't recommend got tough/smooth leather, just use leather grease for those. Make sure to do it outside or on a towel though, as quite a bit of the product will run off the shoe.Original review: It doesn't cover the shoe at all, just spreads some spots around on it, as if the nozzle weren't nearly fine enough. I don't even remotely understand how this is supposed to protect the shoe. If I try to spread it around with a cloth, it just comes off. I'm going to stick to aerosols from now on.
