My usual bait for the odd mouse we get in over the winter has been chocolate buttons, they work but it usually takes a few days after I notice my tell tale bait (not in a trap) before I get any mice captured. I use humane traps, and this stuff works very well. It smells strongly like food to my human nose, so I'm sure mice can smell it from miles away. Only used it late in the mouse season, so I only caught one mouse using this bait this year, but I'll definitely use it again next year and I'm confident it'll work well to draw the mice in.

Ive always used either peanut butter or chocolate spread to try and trap mice (occasionally get field mice in our office).Its always a bit of a faff, as you are trying to scoop something out of a jar and then get it into a tiny small plastic space on a knife, which you then need to go wash, and then you think abut it and you cant remember if you did wash it.. so then you cant eat that product anymore and it becomes the mouse only food.. which is an utter waste.I'd never considered using something out of a syringe, however its actually a much easier cleaner way to apply the bait.Its yet to be seen how the mice like it, but assuming they do this seems like a much better solution and ill continue to buy more.

This syringe is very easy to use and handle. The attractant smells like white chocolate which is similar to most types of poison bait and when I've used that in the past it has been eaten very readily so I expect this will work well.I haven't caught anything yet but it's early days. There are lots of rodents around my chickens so I am sure it won't be long. I have moved away from poison blocks because of the risk to other wildlife so this seems like a good addition to traps and as you can squeeze out exactly how much you need and then put the lid back on you can just store it safely until the next time you need to use it. Much tidier than trying to dollop bits of peanut butter into traps.

I had a field mouse living behind my washing machine that had got very adept at scooping out chocolate, or peanut butter, or whatever I tried without tripping the live capture trap I had set up. It confused my enough to work out how he was doing it that I set up a trail camera, to discover he wasn't going far enough into the trap to set it off, even if he was daft enough to go into the trap in the first place - whcih most of the time he wasn't.First night of trying this new bait and finally caught him, and released a rather tubby field mouse (all the peanut butter) back into the wild.This bait is dosed from a syringe, and it's rather sticky, so you can put it exactly where you want it to be without it running into areas you don't want it. It has a very strong smell too to attract rodents, and smells rather tasty even to me. Because you can use a very small amount you can put it right in the sweet spot of whatever trap you're using.First night trying with this bait after nearly two weeks experimenting with everything else, and it got him. Does the trick, and considering how much peanut butter I must have fed my mouse to no avail, good value too.

I recently got some mouse/rat traps that have a little pot for bait and this is really easy to use on those. Wouldn't work as well on more traditional traps I feel but certainly easy to use and hopefully will help get rid of any unwanted rodents.
