Brian Hughes: 5.0 out of 5 stars The treatment lasts about 3 months, and the supplied sprayer is a fine mist so no overspill.
The pump works very well, and on a white surface showed no staining. As it is not really the time of year for woodlice, this was just a test to see how it was applied and effects, so at this point, I cannot vouch for the fact it does kill and prevent the little blighters from being a nuisance. It sprays in a fine mist, so it does not run on the wall, or the painted window sill where I get them. It does advise you to reapply if the area is cleaned at all, but judging by the very large size of the container, (and weight) plus the fineness of the mist, this should last a long while.I will report back on the effectiveness in preventing problems, but up to now, from my own research, I feel sure this is a good product.
Impy: 5.0 out of 5 stars Using on other crawlies. Seems to help
As the small print says that this spray can be effective on other crawling insects, I've been using it to address the issue of 2 types that have been found in hidden areas (e.g. under furniture). The fact that it's a spray means I feel more confident that it will remain where it's applied and not end up where the dog lies, as a powder might. It seems to have had a positive effect so far, but I do need to monitor over a few months to have a better idea of its efficacy. It's a really large bottle and will last an age, which does make the price seem much more reasonable than might first appear.
John Coltrane John Coltrane : 5.0 out of 5 stars Very Large Bottle and Very Effective
I had quite a pleasant surprise when I first saw the Ready Steady Defend spray bottle because it is BIG!The spray bottle is a very generous 1 litre which, when compared to the 250ml to 300ml of most other insect sprays, makes the price of £14.99 quite reasonable. The advantage of this spray over a powder is that the spray provides an invisible barrier so is more useful in places where you wouldn’t want to see a powder. Powders can also be blown or washed away, whereas this spray apparently forms a barrier that the manufacturer describes as ‘persistent’, so it can be used both inside and outside.Apart from merely killing the woodlice, the Ready Steady spray apparently also targets the eggs and breaks the breeding cycle so takes a multi-faceted approach to any woodlouse infestation.I have used the spray in the conservatory and in the downstairs toilet and I am delighted to say that, since spraying, I have not seen one woodlouse, so it does appear that the Ready Steady spray is also acting as a deterrent.

Family on the coast: 5.0 out of 5 stars Effective and easy to use
The media could not be loaded. Very effective killer and the spray action makes it very easy to use. I get infestations in my shed, they come through every crevice available. Ordinarily I used the powder but this is excellent for the vertical access points, which I wouldn't be able to douse in powder. I'll get this again as it works and is easy to use.
